Kuwait biochemical studies on sunflower seed oil
BIOCHEMICAL AND PHENOLIC ACID PROFILING OF
Sunflower is the most important oil seed crop that faces a major problem in seed dormancy. Therefore, a study was conducted to find out the efficiency of biocontrol agents such as Enterobacter (FD-17), Bacillus sp. (KS-54) and Paraburkholderia phytofirmans (PsJN) on seed germination and biochemical profile of sunflower seedlings.
Environment effects on sunflower seed oil composition Studies performed on the effect of environment factors like temperature and drought stress on sunflower seed oil composition are summarised in Table 4. Table 4: Main factors influencing oil composition variation in LO sunflower. Factors (as increasing) Lines/hybrids Oil yield Variation

Jan 01, 2015· These mutants displayed the same seed oil content as WT plants, which mean that the main source of carbon that supports fatty acid synthesis is located in the cytosol (Andriotis et al., 2010). In sunflower seeds, the crude extract enolase activity, which mostly corresponded to the cytosolic enzyme, increases during embryo development.
Sunflower oil
Sunflower oil is the non-volatile oil pressed from the seeds of sunflower (Helianthus annuus).Sunflower oil is commonly used in food as a frying oil, and in cosmetic formulations as an emollient. The world's total production of sunflower oil in 2014 was nearly 16 million tonnes, with Ukraine and Russia as the largest producers.. Sunflower oil is primarily composed of linoleic acid, a
