ISLAMABAD: The country’s domestic production of crude oil increased by around 12.8pc during the first nine months (July-March) of the fiscal year 2024-19. According to the official data, the domestic production of crude oil remained 24.6 million barrels during the period under review as compared to 21.8 million barrels in the same period of the fiscal year (FY18).
Muhammad Tariq, director of Pak Olive, said within the 2024-20 season, the estimated olive oil production capacity in Pakistan will reach approximately 1,400 tonnes. By the year 2027, production is expected to reach 16,000 tonnes. The government also plans to issue certifications for the marketing and branding of olive oil for the private sector.
