Bioprocessing Technology of Rice Bran Oil Development of commercial enzymes, such as phospholipases and lipases, has made bioprocessing of rice bran oil (RBO) an attractive option to produce good quality RBO. Enzymatic stabilizing of rice bran during storage has provided an alternative way of deactivating lipolytic enzymes, which affect the

Rice Bran and Rice Bran Oil (RBO) provides much-needed best practices on the science and technology of RBO, including the chemistry, dectection methods, nutrition (including the effect of processing technologies on micronutrients) and applications. RBO contains many nutritional components, including up to 2% oryzanol, tocotrienol, and phytosterols.
Aug 04, 2009· They have assured us to procure rice bran oil manufactured in Indonesia provided the supply is regular," said Mr Sharma. Apart form PepsiCo, both the companies also supply rice bran oil to Marico Limited for its Safola brand and Sundrop . Currently AP Solvex rice bran oil facility at Sangrur in Punjab has a capacity of 800 tonnes per day.

Potential of Edible Oil Production from Rice Bran
In the year 2024, Indonesia produced 56 million tons of rice paddy. During the paddy milling process, 57-60% rice will be produced, 18-20% husk and 8-10% bran. On this basis, about 4.5 to 5.6 million tons of rice bran is produced every year and unfortunately such massive resource of rice bran is not yet optimally utilized. To this point, rice bran has been used as animal feed.
